My last post for 2006. The year with many ups and downs. Currently I am updating this with the sound of techno blasting from the open space over in Serangoon Central due to the New Year countdown party.
Frankly speaking, I don't think I am ready to face a new year. I am not looking forward to a new year, at all.
But at the same time, I just wish 2006 will end quick.
Many things happened in 2006. Both good and bad of course.
Lost a couple of friends (through death and through stupid lil things). Lost someone whom I treated as a brother before, just because he has change. And I really mean it when I say changed.
Started out on my first "
real" job. Senior Programme Assistant. Basically do reports and plan programmes for the youth at risk under our programme. Really love what I am doing. But due to certain things (read: people), I guess I have to leave sooner or later.
This is also the year when I got close to a couple of people in 4PM namely most of those who were involved in Camp Voyage '05. But still, a lot of backstabbing ended up happening in the end. But it doesn't matter, does it? Just human nature I guess
I found someone in 2006 too. Someone who has met all of my family members (except my brother & sister-in-law) as well as I've met his family. Someone whom my mother trust enough to let me ride on his bike. Someone my nephew totally adore. Someone my dad will talk to nicely when terserempak kat void deck aft he sent me home. Ouh yes, someone who sends me home all the time after a late night out. Someone who will ask me to speak to mother nicely. Someone who gave me 110% suppport into me making the biggest decision in 2006. Someone who accepts me, just the way I am. Someone who loves me and someone whom I love.
You know what, maybe I should just embrace the arrival of 2007 with open arms. Who knows maybe it'l be a better year for me. Who knows...
