Maldives. Here i come.

Have been chatting with
Camelia these past few days. She's in
Maldives. Told her, jokingly of course, that I wouldn't mind trading places with her.
And this girl, she took it seriously and went on telling me about they looking for someone to fill in the position that she is sitting in for.
It's a golden opportunity. Yes. Once in a lifetime. I wish I could go.
My heart's telling me to stay but my mind's telling me to go.
2 years in
Maldives is not a short time. I'll be away from my loved ones - my
family,
friends and
Mr. R. I'll be away from the fast paced life in Singapore that I am used to. I'll be away from my comfort zone. I'll be away from the things that I am used to.
My parents were against the idea of course.
Mr. R too. But my siblings were supportive, especially my 2 sisters.
Mr. R said this, "
Tak payah la. Maldives jauh seh. Nanti I rindu giler babi kat u." and of course I was touched.
I don't know. Maybe I should just go for the interview and try my luck. If I do get selected, then I guess it's my
rezeki.
Camelia even told me that she'll see. Maybe they have a vacancy there for
Mr. R too. *Sweets* Though I doubt
Mr. R would want that.
*Sigh...*
On a lighter note. I promised someone that I'll post an entry that I posted on Anak Melayu. And since she is not subscribed, she can't read the whole thing. So enjoy the story ok.

Took a cab home from work. Malas la tersangat nak tunggu bus. Lagi pun peak hour. Confirm sesak.
So i took this comfort cab. the driver was an old uncle.
he was talking. traffic was heavy.
he talked about his thai girlfriend. she stays in thailand. she's 50yo. he's 69 or 59yo la. tk prasan sgt. so he was telling me about his relationship with his gf. how wonderful. he tells me abt his trips to thailand to visit his gf and how sedap the tom yams are in thailand.
he talks about he gives his gf S$500 per month for her expenses. and that she is his lucky charm.
he talks abt her with much affection. he tells me that his gf's son will be in sg to further his studies. and even though the son is not his real son, he speaks proudly of him.
and he told me that his gf will be flying to sg by tiger airwyas that nite.
so i asked him a very simple question, "So she staying with u ah...?"
and he answered, "You crazy ah? Where I going to put my wife..?", and he laughed.
and i swear.. at this point of time, i dunno whether to laugh with him or... but i m pretty sure that i was shocked.. all i cud do was just smile..
i thot he da duda or smth. skali the thai woman his is mistress la.
aiyoh....
