Went
TTSH A&E just now with my parents. Had my x-ray done. Had my heartbeat checked again.
Apparently, my gastric acid juice travelled upwards towards my chest which resulted in me having chest pains and heatiness around my chest area. And it's called
heartburn.
Doctor 1: "
When was your last menses?"
Me: "
The Saturday before National Day."
Doctor 1: "
Have you been eating spicy food for the last few days?"
Me: "
I eat spicy food everytime I eat. It's just whether I eat or I don't."
Doctor 1: "
Oh."
Waited for a few minutes and I was called to
Room 8. And the doctor pronounced my name
wrongly.
Very wrongly. And it was announced over the PA system. Lucky he pronounced my
Dad's name correctly so I know it was me he was calling.
Doctor 2: "
Hi. What seems to be the problem?"
(I went on explaining.)
Doctor 2: "
Are you by any chance pregnant? Because if you are, we may have to do urine check."
Me: "
No."
Doctor 2: "
Ok. I'm going to send you for an x-ray. Just follow the pink stickers on the floor."
Went for the x-ray. This time, the ang moh woman pronounced my name
correctly.
God bless her.
Ang Moh Woman: "
Are you by any chance pregnant?"
Me: "
The doctor asked me the same question just now. No."
(Ang Moh Woman laughed.)
Ang Moh Woman: "
Sign here and here to verify that you are not pregnant."
Ang Moh Woman: "
Stand facing the machine and hug the machine. I'll ask you to breathe in deeply and then you must hold your breath."
Me: "
Ok."
Ang Moh Woman: "
Ok. Breathe in."
(Breathes in)
Ang Moh Woman: "
Ok. Done. You can wear your clothes now."
Me: "
That's it?"
(Ang Moh Woman laughed. Again.)
WEnt back to
Doctor 2. He explained to me about heartburn and everything and told me to avoid
spicy food,
coffee and
tea. All of my favourite and he's asking me to avoid them. He didn't say anything about
lemonade though. :)
I can't believed I spent hours at
TTSH and had to pay
70bucks. I am broke and this just made me more broke.

I miss
Azmi. I wish I could just share with him about what happened at
TTSH just now, about this woman who is like one crazy woman. I think she had concussion or something because her head was bleeding so badly. I miss
Azmi badly and I would
love to give us another chance. But.. Oh well.
